Habit push notifications
How do you reach existing users whose in-app activity has dropped off? Push notifications worked for us! The copy below aims to reach customers outside of the app—showing them the value of new updates and reminding them to pick up where they left off.
Challenge
Push notifications show up on the user’s device when they’re not thinking about your product at all. You’re asking them to switch contexts away from what they’re doing in order to consider what you’re offering.
Approach
The home screens and lock screens where users see push content are more intimate settings than their laptop or desktop. That’s why I used an informal tone and kept the copy very short and to-the-point. Users received 1 push every 2 weeks.
Results
Top performing notifications delivered a 10-13% lift in the customer’s use of the app for the week they were delivered.
